Putting the 'fun' in fundraising for Children in Need!

Published on 16/11/18

Silverdale students and staff have been donning their active wear this week in aid of the annual BBC Children In Need campaign.

We’ve worked up a sweat – and raised over £1,500! - cycling around Britain without leaving the confines of the Sports Hall, seeing who can ‘shoot the most hoops’ in a minute and watching teachers battle it out at Dodgeball.

We finished the week with activities everyone can get behind: wearing own clothes, preferably yellow or polka dots, and treating ourselves at a bake sale!

The money raised will go to support a variety of projects like the SHINE Health Academy which tackles obesity in young people, ACCT for children with Asperger’s and their carers and the Firvale Community Hub.

Thank you and well done to everyone involved!
