Headteacher's update 5

Published on 07/05/20

Dear parent/carer,

As we head into the bank holiday weekend, I thought I would just send a brief message.

Firstly, I hope you all enjoy the bank holiday tomorrow for VE (Victory in Europe) Day. We certainly don’t expect our students to be working during the longer weekend and hope you get a chance to relax too.

We are continuing to support students via Google Classroom. I thought it would be useful to reshare the link to the video which shows you how to submit work on Google Classroom, as some students are still finding that part of it challenging and are sharing it on the ‘stream’ rather than via the ‘submit work’ function. You can view the video at: https://www.silverdale-chorustrust.org/itsupport

We continue to add useful resources to our Student Wellbeing page at: https://www.silverdale-chorustrust.org/studentwellbeing

And there are more activities on our Extra-Curricular Activities page at: https://www.silverdale-chorustrust.org/extracurricularforlockdown

Plus there are some new Virtual Assemblies to view at: https://www.silverdale-chorustrust.org/virtualschoolassemblies

Thank you for your continued support. If there is any change to the government guidance about schools we will of course share this with you, along with any plans we make. In the meantime, take care and enjoy the weekend.

Best wishes,

Mrs Sarah Sims
Head of Silverdale School
