Dear Parents and Carers...

Letter from our Head Teacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

Uniform Standards in School

At Silverdale we are very proud of every aspect of our school community, and we take great pride in the uniform that our students wear to represent our school every single day.

Whilst the overwhelming majority of our students are exemplary in this area and can be held up as role models with regard to their school uniform, it has become noticeable that a number of students are frequently wearing items of clothing that are not part of our school uniform.

We have raised awareness of this issue over the last few days by giving out clear messages about the need for high standards of uniform. We have spoken to students who are wearing items that don’t fit our current uniform policy and some parents/carers have received an email or WEDUC message from school about their child’s need to address an aspect of their uniform.

Further guidance can be found here on our website.

This week, we have communicated to all our students that they have a responsibility to wear full and correct uniform immediately after the half-term holiday from Monday 6th June.  We are mindful of the current economic climate and have also chosen to send this information out in advance of the half -term holiday to provide time to find correct school uniform items if needed.

New uniform can be purchased from the Stitch Factory

We also now have a large selection of high quality second hand items of uniform available to purchase through our school reception for a price of £1 per item.  If you would like to place an order then please  email ajones@chorustrust.org with details of the items and sizes you require and we will happily arrange this for you.

Please email Mark Clayton (Assistant Headteacher) if further assistance or information about uniform is required.

Thank you for your support as always, I hope you all have a restful half-term holiday, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming students back into school looking their best in our full school uniform on Monday 6th of June.

PTA - Silverdale PTA Car Boot 2022 - Sunday 22nd May.

Thank you to all those people who supported the Silverdale PTA Car Boot Sale that took place last week, and we hope that you either made some profit or found a great bargain.  We have had great feedback about the event saying that it was well organised, and with a lovely positive vibe and community feel.

 Congratulations
