A message from our Head Teacher

Dear parents/carers

Uniform

We will be relaunching our uniform expectations after the half term holiday.  Please support us by encouraging your child to attend school in correct school uniform.

Second-hand items of school uniform and PE kit can be purchased from our school reception.  We currently have the full range of school uniform and PE kit available, all items are clean, in excellent condition and are available in a wide range of sizes.

If you would like to enquire about purchasing any items of uniform then please email ajones@chorustrust.org, and include in your email information regarding the items, size and quantity you require. Mrs Jones and Mrs Ibbotson on reception will then gather together your order and send it home with your child when your order is ready.

There is a small cost of £1 per item of uniform purchased, to be paid in cash to our school reception. All funds raised will be then donated to the Silverdale School PTA.

We are also in the process of organising a second hand uniform sales event, to be held in school on a Saturday morning during next half term. More details about this to follow.

With this in mind, if you have any items of unwanted Silverdale School uniform / PE kit at home that remains in good condition but your child may have outgrown, then we welcome all donations to add to the current stock we have. Be reassured that all funds raised through this scheme will contribute towards the good work of our school PTA.

If your child feels ill in school

If your child feels ill during the school day, then they should report to student reception and our staff will contact parents if appropriate.  Please discourage your child from contacting you directly if they wish to be picked up during the school day.

Vaccination Clinics

The school nursing team are offering walk in clinics in the following venues over half term for all children age 12-17 who require a Covid vaccine and missed the opportunity in school.   All clinics are open between the hours of 09:30-15:30 and no appointment is needed.

Please note for children under 18 who have tested positive for Covid there needs to be a 12 week gap before vaccination.
