Silverdale students have much to celebrate. Highlights across the school’s class of 2025 include a 98.7% A-level pass rate with 86.4% of results achieving grades between A*-C; and 39.5% of the grades awarded were A* or A. An excellent 15% of all A-levels were awarded the highest A* grade. Nearly 23% of Silverdale students have opened results today to reveal a clean sweep of A, A*, Distinction or Distinction* grades, with nine students receiving all A* grades – a phenomenal achievement!

In addition, of the vocational subjects studied, 43% of the grades awarded were Distinction* (the highest grade).

Silverdale class of 2025 students can now take their next steps in their education journey, enabled by their results received today. For the overwhelming majority of students, they will be studying their first choice course at their university of preference with universities in Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, and Liverpool remaining popular choices. Every student who held an offer for a sought-after university place to study medicine and dentistry has been successful.

STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) university subjects are popular options, with many students going on to study engineering, maths and physics. A large number of students are also moving on to study law, business, finance and marketing and many health-related subjects such as nursing, radiography and physiotherapy.

A small number of students are going on to apprenticeships including prestigious positions at HSBC, the Metropolitan Police, BT and Capgemini.
