Open evening: Tuesday 25 September
If you are interested in applying to join Silverdale School please come along to our Open Evening on Tuesday 25 September, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. This is a great chance to meet both staff and students, and get some hands-on experience of the range of subjects on offer. Our Head of School and Executive Headteacher will also be giving brief presentations in the main hall at 6.45pm, 7.15pm and 7.45pm.

GCSE and A-level results are consistently well above the local and national averages. In 2017 our Progress 8 score was +0.43.

No one left behind
We provide specialist support to improve outcomes for all pupils, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our team are trained in safeguarding, inclusion, dyslexia and literacy, autism and communication, behaviour and engagement. The school also houses a Deaf and Hearing Impaired Integrated Resource.
A diverse and welcoming community
We currently run Homework Clubs at the Umix Centre, next to Lowfield School, which are used by our students from lots of different communities. Staff, parents and carers also get involved in the Silverdale PTA (Parents' and Teachers' Association), organising social and fundraising events.
Exceptional Sixth Form
In 2017 our students achieved 72% of grades at A*, A or B, which are the best results of state schools and colleges in Sheffield. 61 students out of 146 this year went on to Russell Group universities. 7 of those went to Oxbridge.
As well as a state of the art building with modern science labs, language labs and sporting facilities, our Design and Technology department has a 3D printer and laser cutting machine.
Extra curricular activities
We run annual trips abroad to support language learning, as well as a ski trip. We also have numerous lunchtime and after school clubs, which are listed here, as well as regular events such as our Masterchef competition.
