Dear Parents and Carers...

Message from our Headtacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week we have continued to enjoy our return to ‘normality’ by hosting two events for our prospective Y7 students and their families. We enjoyed welcoming families back into the building for the coffee morning for Y6 SEND families and also our Y6 uniform evening. Many thanks to our existing parents who supported these events.

Considerate Parking Reminder

Thank you to everyone who makes the effort to keep the streets near our school safe for our students. As mentioned previously, it would be very helpful if those who drop off students for school could use roads a few streets away. This will help reduce congestion and keep our students safe. Please could you consider where you park, avoid blocking driveways and also turn off your engine whilst you are waiting. There are many other roads beyond Bents Road where students can easily walk to and from. For more information and our ‘Park and Stride’ map, please see our Travel page.

Y7 Parents' Evening – Tuesday 10 May

Y7 parents should follow the information sent earlier this week to book their appointments online. Please contact the Y7 Key Stage team with any queries.

PTA - Silverdale PTA Car Boot 2022 - Sunday 22 May.

Clear the clutter and support our school!

Whether you're having a big clear-out or want your children to have a go at earning their own summer holiday spending money, the Silverdale PTA Car Boot Sale is here to help - and you'll be helping us in the process. Once you've paid for your pitch, roll up with a carful and prepare to bargain and haggle all the way to the bank. Pitches are to be paid for in advance and will cost £10 and can be purchased: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/null/t-jzkjmpy

Entry for buyers on the day will be £1 per adult and 50p per child.

Food and drink will also be available to buy. Whether you're selling, bargain-hunting or both, there's something for all the family to enjoy.

Best wishes,

Sarah Sims
Head of Silverdale School
