Art Department London Trip

Published on 11/11/15

On the 23rd October  the Art Department took 28 A-Level students to London for two days to soak up some culture and experience some of the best galleries and museums in the world.  It was a jammed packed couple of days but the students took it all in their stride and were a credit to Silverdale School and their peers.  From experiencing the drama and excitement around the Channel exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, to visiting the beautiful V&A and the thought provoking Tate Britain, the students took inspiration to develop their own work and discuss the merit of ‘Art’.  As a treat the students also went out to dinner then over to the West End to watch Thriller, winding their  way through the busy streets of London on a Friday evening and taking in the atmosphere .  All the excitement and activities meant that DVD’s and popcorn on the bus were a welcome treat for the long journey back!   Roll on next year!
